The world is adjusting to living with Covid-19, here’s how Chez Lussaud work to ensure we offer the best we can in terms of preparing for your stay with us.
Based on expert advice, we follow a five-step enhanced cleaning process ensuring we:
- Sanitise all high-touch surfaces, door handles, light switches, work tops, chairs etc
- Use cleaners and disinfectants approved by the WHO, whilst we all wear appropriate protection to help prevent cross-contamination
- Refer to cleaning check lists as we thoroughly clean each room
- Provide additional cleaning supplies so that you can clean as you stay
- Comply with National and Local laws inclusive of all safety and cleaning guidelines
We request that guests do their part in keeping Chez Lussaud and all our guests safe by ensuring you wear face masks when required, and follow hygiene requirements such as regular hand sanitising and social distancing. We also ask that all dishwasher proof crockery, glassware and cutlery is always washed in the dishwasher, to ensure a thorough clean.
Before you depart Chez Lussaud, we ask that all windows and doors are opened to ventilate the gîte prior to checking out, and all your towels and bedding are placed outside your kitchen door for collection in the laundry basket provided. Laundry is then handled according to appropriate guidelines.
After 3 hours ventilation, we will commence the enhanced cleaning process in each gîte. Surfaces and floors are thoroughly cleaned and disinfected, paying particular attention to high touch areas. Where possible we polish.
After the cleaning process is completed, and beds are made, each room is resupplied and reset for the next guests. A final check is carried out and once the rooms are complete they are not re-entered again until the next guests arrive.
Each gîte is supplied with its own set of boules, racket game and skittles. These are disinfected during changeover.
Linens and Towels
Bed linen, tea towels, bathroom and pool towels are all laundered on a hot, hygiene wash using fabric disinfectant and detergents. (Dish cloths and sponges are always new for each changeover.) We have several sets of linen for each bed, to ensure we can clean, air, iron and rotate each set in sufficient time.
Check In and Out
With the enhanced cleaning process changeover days are very ‘time-tight’, with this in mind, check in is after 18h00.
Sadly handshaking, hugging and ‘bisous’ are not permitted at the moment, and though you cannot see our smiles behind our masks, please be assured of a very warm welcome! As we are not able to leave information files in your gîtes, we will show you around everything… socially distanced of course, and will then leave you to settle in.
We will then send you an electronic information sheet with all the frequently asked info, and if there is anything more we can do or help with, we are discreetly always on hand.
To allow us to thoroughly clean and prepare the gîte for our next guests, check out is before 10h00.
Hand Sanitiser and Disinfectant
Disinfectant spray bottles are provided in each gîte kitchen, and at the pool house with paper rolls for you to disinfect your sun lounger before and after use.
The sun loungers and tables in the pool area are disinfected ready for use in the mornings and again at night when the pool is closed.
Your health and safety is our paramount concern, and we will adapt our procedures to comply with any future changes.
